GOF Mk 103 Concord, NH
September 5 – 9, 2018

Welcome to Concord, NH and GOF Mk 103!

We barely scratched the surface of the exciting things to do in Concord, NH so we are heading back. This time we'll be visiting some historic homes, a real throwback drive-in and maybe a little mystery thrown in. September in New Hampshire is the best time of year to visit. Warm days, cool nights and lots of great restaurants, drives, some new restoration shops and a tech session or two will fill the week. Check out the schedule below for more information on this great GOF.

What we'll be doing . . .

Our weekend will start out with our Great Unwashed car show on Wednesday evening followed by dinner on your own. We have lots of great suggestions for where the locals go for great food. On Thursday we'll have tech sessions and a drive to a Hot Rod shop, the First Timers car show and then we'll head out to Arnie's Drive In for an MG cruise night and drive-in food. What better way to show off cars from the '40s and '50s!

Friday will start with a rally. This is a great area for this type of event and we have some seasoned rally masters working up the route. In the afternoon we'll be heading out to Canterbury Shaker Village for a guided tour. They also have some Concord Coaches to look at.
You'll be back in plenty of time to get ready for the Friday evening excitement our Crime and Pun-ishment A 1920s Murder Mystery Experience More about the Friday night event is below the schedule

Saturday we'll be having our car show, photo voting, models, memorabilia and mobilia display and flea market. The hotel will have its cafe open for service so you can grab a quick bite and be ready to head out on the tour to the Franklin Pierce Manse.

This GOF will feature the Concours d'Provenance. If you wish to participate in this event please contact David Sander to sign up.  Then we'll head in for the cash bar cocktails before dinner and awards. Some really interesting activities...something for everyone.

mystery2Things take a turn for the gutter at Mafia Don Lou Zar’s juice joint when someone is put on ice! The crowd is chock full of potential suspects. Jealous, jilted lovers, a rival Mafioso, and a pair of undercover feds make an appearance at this speakeasy and not a single person is muttering a word! Help find out who’s on the level and who’s on the lam by trading clues with your guests, gathering information, and solving the crime before the murderer hotfoots it out of there!

Dress for this night of murderous mayhem includes flapper dresses, zoot suits, feather boas and headbands, pinstriped suits and fedoras. If you aren’t feeling that jive you can dress as a private detective to help solve the crime, just don’t frame the wrong guy!

Concours de’Provenance

Honoring Dave Raymond #96

A Special Event for the Fall Gathering

Dave was extremely tenacious about tracking down every bit of information he could about his cars. His N Type single seater has one of the most complete, documented histories of any prewar MG.. He was proud not only of the actual history of the car but also the various paths his research took as he sought out people and references to document the provenance of his car.

The Register is once again organizing this event, so talk to or contact David Sander by clicking here: David Sander Chairman. For this event, only a maximum of five cars will be chosen to participate, so contact David early. The car must be present with the material displayed. Presenters should be prepared to talk for 5-10 minutes about their experience with the car.

Cars showing in this event must display as much provenance as possible.

The special display will feature up to 5 cars and provenance items such as Early registrations/log book, early photos, photos of restoration, prizes won including trophies, history, previous owners, trips and competitions, sales brochures, road tests, advertisements, owner's manuals, shop and parts manuals, guarantee certificate, anything that contributes to documenting the history of the vehicle.
