THINGS TO DO IN PLYMOUTH
Known as "America's Hometown," Plymouth is a place of great prominence in American culture and history. It’s also the quintessential New England destination, conveniently nestled between Cape Cod and Boston. Enjoy countless historical sites, waterfront activities and family-friendly entertainment. From whale watching and water sports to golfing and ghost tours, this unique destination offers an abundance or recreation, beauty and fascinations.

What we'll be doing . . .

Our weekend will start out with our Great Unwashed car show on Wednesday evening followed by dinner on your own. We have lots of great suggestions for where the locals go for great food. On Thursday we'll be going out for a whale watch, then dinner on your own. There are many great places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. Look in your packet for a list. Suggestions for the evening are one of the many night-walks around Plymouth. Or just hang out with MG friends at the hotel
On Friday we'll have our Rally that will end at Plimouth Plantation. You do not need to run the rally to enjoy the visit to the Plantation. Friday afternoon will be our First Timers show and shore side buffet.
Saturday will include our car show, Models and Memorabilia, photo contest, on your own tours and the awards banquet. There will be lots of time to explore this historic area.

Getting to the GOF

Plymouth is a coastal town in Massachusetts, south of Boston. It is the site of the first Pilgrim settlement, founded in 1620. Plymouth Rock, a boulder in Pilgrim Memorial State Park, marks the place where settlers are thought to have landed on shore. The Mayflower II, a full-scale replica of the ship that carried the Pilgrims across the Atlantic, is usually anchored at the park. During the GOF the Mayflower II will not be in Plymouth. It is being refurbished during 2019.

Fees Update Info

You may notice that some of the fees listed are different than what was listed in TSO. That pesky critter "Typo" got us a couple of times. We've lowered the per person registration fees for the GOF. For two, it's now $55 (notice something -- same as the number of years that The Register has been around.) Also, the price of the Friday night dinner is now $28.00 down from $48 as shown on the TSO sheet. The printable form that can be downloaded has the correct pricing and corrected snail mail address to send registrations to.

We'll search for Cape Cod Bay's humpback, finback, minke, and pilot whales, as well as the rare, endangered right whales that can occasionally be sighted on the coast. This cruise starting point is just a short distance from our hotel.
Evening walks -- Plymouth offers many interesting tours and June should be a great time to venture out and enjoy one of these unique tours. The Plymouth Night Tour, Native Plymouth Tours, Pilgrim Food Tours, Spirit of Plymouth tour are just a few. Check your packet for more infomation.
Rallye -- Our rallye will take you through historic Plymouth and beyond. You'll end up at Plimoth Plantation and you can then tour the Plantation. (Don't forget to sign up on the form).

At the Craft Center, learn more about how the skilled craftspeople recreate the world of the 17th century. You can spend some time in the Hornblower Visitor Center. Purchase a souvenir of your time here and support the educational mission at one of three Museum Shops, or grab a bite to eat at the Patuxet Café. More information at https://www.plimoth.org/plan-your-visit-0
First Timers car display -- One of the highlights of the weekend is viewing the cars that have never been to a GOF and those who are new to Register owners. A great spot to mingle and meet new friends.
